#11 사진속에 빛이 갇혀 있으면 그 사진은  의미가 없다.
빛은 물 흐르듯 흘러 내리거나 바람이 불듯 흔들려야 하며 숨죽이듯 가슴을 조여야 한다.
빛이 움직이는 사진은 생명이 있다.

 

새벽의 빛은 맑고 순수하며 부드럽다.
아침의 빛은 청명하며 명랑하다.
한 낮의 빛은 강렬하며 정열적이다.
그림자가 길게 늘어지는 오후의 빛은 중년의 무게와 삶의 깊이를 느끼게 하며
붉게 물들며 스러지는 빛은 쓸쓸하며 탁하고 여운이 길다.
즉, 빛도 한 사람의 인생과 같이 생로병사, 희로애락이 있다.
이러한 빛의 느낌을 사진에 표현하는 것이 빛을 아는 것이다.
 

The light trapped in the frame of a photograph is meaningless.

Light should bring the mood of the flow of a river, the quiver in the wind or breathless quietness.

 

Light of dawn is pure and soft.

Light in the morning is fine and merry.

Light at noon is full of passion and intensity.

Light in the afternoon shadow has the atmosphere of mature, profound life of a middle-aged man.

Light vanishing in the reddish sunset is lonesome and murky, lingering about a long while.

Light, in this sense like any human life, has its phases of birth, old age, sickness, and death as well as a variety of emotions

such as joy, anger, sorrow, and pleasure. Knowing light thus means being able to put those phases and feelings of the light into the photographs.
